Here at Morphosis by Choice, I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy catered especially for women who are going through various stages of life transition. As we all know, change is inevitable and the only constant thing in life. However, change often comes with a dose of stress, worry, and anxiety. Even though these are all natural healthy emotions, they could sometimes impact our lives in negative ways. I plan to be your biggest support system and your cheerleader in your journey to healing and self discovery, because I recognize the mental woes that trouble you today as my nemesis not too long ago. Nowadays I’ve learnt to embrace them, not letting them get in the way of living, and you can too.

My Story

My name is Khyrana and I was born in a coastal town in Central Jawa, Indonesia. I have lived in Malaysia, US and am currently residing in Singapore. I used to move places quite frequently before finally feeling at home. Home for me is not a four-walled space but a moment in time. This moment, right now, is home. It’s where I position my ‘welcome mat’, and it’s where I invite you for a session to reinvigorate your life, reignite your passion, reduce your stress, and manage your anxiety.

I’ve always been fascinated with human behaviours and the mystery shrouding the human minds. I enjoy sitting down with good company, sipping a strong cuppa, and munching on warm-sweet pastry while people watching; playing an internal guessing game to explain their actions and reactions. That’s how I discovered my interest in learning psychology. Years later, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and Child Psychology and a Masters in Counselling.

My Approach & Philosophy

Therapy for me is a process of growth and self-discovery. Due to its very personal and rather complex nature, I like to personalise my approach to your unique sets of circumstances and style. I consider myself as an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist which means that I would systematically use a combination of strategies from different modalities to produce the most effective outcome. Some of the approach I used include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, where we would promote behavioural transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. I also like to use techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, amongst others. Feel free to ask me about them during the session if you’re interested to find out more. I also strongly believe that you are the expert of your own life, and while I have the skills and experience to support you, your participation and collaboration is crucial to achieve the results that you’re looking for.
