About Our Sessions and some FAQs

Location:

All individual counselling/psychotherapy sessions are conducted online via zoom. Please contact me if you need to have in-person session, and we can try to find an arrangement. However, please note that it would affect the fees.

Session Times:

Online counselling/psychotherapy sessions only available on weekdays from 6pm -9pm, however, contact me if you need to have a weekend session.

Walk & Talk therapy only available on weekends, at the time and location that we agreed upon.

Duration:

Each individual counselling/psychotherapy session would normally last for 50 minutes.

Walk & Talk therapy session would usually last for 60 – 75 minutes.

Fees:

Fees are payable by Paynow and bank transfer and should be paid in full at least 48 hours before the start of each session. Fee for 50 minutes counselling/psychotherapy session is S$120.00.

Fee for Walk & Talk therapy is S$150,00. For those with financial difficulties but wish to receive therapy, please get in touch to discuss possibility of fees reduction.

Whats the difference between counseling and psychotherapy?

While they both are a form of talk therapies, there are some differences that could set them apart. Counseling is usually a shorter term process (12 sessions or less) with the purpose to support client in performing day to day activities more effectively. While psychotherapy are long term process (more than 12 session) with the purpose to address issues in a very deep manner

Who should go for counseling?

Everyone would benefit from going for counselling session. It doesnt mean that you have a mental illness. Just like how we do our excercises at the gym or get our hair and nails done every now and then, our mental health could use some TLC too.

What should I expected in the first session?

Usually we will have a chat to get to know each other better. Then we would explore your issues and the outcome that you want to achieve; and from there we would collaborate to create a ‘game plan’. Sometimes this would take a few sessions depending on the number of challenges and therapy goals.

How many sessions do I need?

There is no hard and fast rules. It really depends on your personal needs. Everyone has different goals, different issues, and different styles. It’s something we would explore further during our first few sessions.

Are all sessions will be confidential?

We followed the SAC ethics and guidelines in maintaining confidentiality. Your privacy is very important to ensure you have a safe space to share openly. Only in rare cases such as upon court order or causing harm to yourself and others that relevant information would be disclosed.

How do I book and cancel an appointment?

To book: You can use the contact box on the website, send an email to morphosisbychoice@gmail.com or send a WhatsApp message to (……). Once you made the booking, please wait for me to respond to you with billing instructions. This should take less than 24 hours. Please note that no appointment is confirmed until payment is received.

To cancel: You can send an email to morphosisbychoice@gmail.com or WhatsApp to cancel. Please note that less than 24 hours of cancellation notice would incur half of the fees unless there is special circumstances.
